Above anything else, choosing a safe ground to fly an RC plane would always be the ultimate goal because it is a hobby to enjoy and not a hobby full of issues and problems. And although it might seem reasonable to fly it at the nearby park or at any vacant lot, the truth is, it is not highly recommended because there would always be other people around. You have to keep this in mind always as each state in the country has its own rules and regulations regarding this stuff and it is best that you check it out in order to learn and know where else you can safely fly one.
If you are truly serious in flying an RC plane, then it is always a good idea to get a membership at your local RC club. Joining a good RC club would certainly entitle you a lot of benefits and one of such benefits is having a good place to fly your plane. Often times, there is a separation of field between the pilot and where the plane operate and this is usually done in order to reduce the risks of any accident that could possibly happen in case a plane crashed on an unintended spot.
So, just in case that you really want to fly a plane anytime you want but you don’t fancy the inconvenience of going to the club then it would be wise if you get a small electric RC plane since there are some models that can be safely flown indoor and in truth, that is just perfect for your needs.
